About the Practice

Lucena Vellori is the collector imprint for a body of digitally constructed works shaped through selection, composition, and atmosphere rather than automation alone. Rooted in a sensibility that feels at once painterly, continental, and archival, each image is treated as a singular work of visual authorship—quietly composed, emotionally charged, and released with intention.

The practice centers on the construction of images through a deliberate process of visual decision-making. Works are not generated in volume; they are cultivated through sustained attention to light, tone, spatial composition, and narrative suggestion. Each piece is the result of hundreds of compositional decisions, refined through a process that sits between painterly intuition and digital precision.

Works are released as controlled editions—unique pieces, small edition runs, and artist proofs—produced exclusively as archival pigment prints on museum-grade substrates. Every work is assigned a registry identifier, documented with a certificate of authenticity, and presented to collector standards.

The imprint maintains a private viewing room for collectors, advisors, and institutions seeking early access to forthcoming works and unreleased bodies of work. Catalogue requests and acquisition inquiries are welcomed through the inquiry form.
