Constructed Atmospheres
2025
Pure atmospheric compositions at the boundary of representation and abstraction.
Constructed Atmospheres pushes the practice toward near-abstraction, constructing images from layered atmospheric fields—fog, gradient, light, and weather. These works reduce the landscape to its most elemental conditions: sky meeting earth, light dissolving form, colour held in suspension. The series explores the point at which a constructed image ceases to describe a place and begins to evoke a state.
